Do you miss the sun?

Tired of the short days of winter? Imagine not seeing the sun for eighteen months! That's what happened in 536 AD, considered by many historians to be the "worst year to be alive." A volcanic eruption in Iceland put up so much ash into the atmosphere that the sun disappeared in a dry fog, temperatures plummeted, crops failed, famine followed, and then bubonic plague arrived. You could do a lot worse than 2022! Happy New Year!
